40A:9-176 Municipality not to issue badge to elected official which may be mistaken for law enforcement badge. 4. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a municipality shall not issue a law enforcement badge or a badge that may be mistaken as a law enforcement badge to any municipal elected official.
