Suits and other legal proceedings unaffected

40A:7-11. Suits and other legal proceedings unaffected All actions, appeals, prosecutions and other legal proceedings pending in a court or before any tribunal having jurisdiction within the county from which the annexed territory is taken shall not be affected by the annexation, but may be prosecuted in the county from which the territory is taken, in the same manner and before the same courts and tribunals and with like effect as if the annexation had not occurred, and judgments obtained or which may be obtained therein shall have the same effect.
