40A:65-6.1 Information technology, cybersecurity professionals, hiring, shared services. 1. a. The Department of Community Affairs shall not exclude the hiring of information technology or cybersecurity professionals pursuant to a shared services agreement from any program, activity, assistance, or offering, administered by the department to incentivize local units to enter into shared services agreements when information technology or cybersecurity shared services are potential eligible uses of program funds. Nothing in this section shall limit the ability of the department to define categories of eligible hiring costs, establish a maximum number of years for which hiring costs are eligible, or to establish eligibility criteria including, but not limited to, cost effectiveness, efficiencies generated, and serving the public interest. b. For the purposes of this section, "department" means the Department of Community Affairs. L.2023, c.52.
