Incorporation

40A:63-1. Incorporation a. The inhabitants of each of the several townships are hereby continued as a body politic and corporate in law as heretofore constituted and established and shall be known by the name of "the township of ........................, in the county of ........................." (as the case may be), and the boundaries of the several townships shall be and remain as heretofore established by law. b. No suit, proceeding or instrument shall abate or anywise be affected by any changes in the corporate name of the township. c. Each township, governed by the laws pertaining to the township form of government, shall have full power to sue and be sued and have corporate seal. L.1989,c.157,s.1.
