Form and content of current budget

40A:4-22. Form and content of current budget Every budget shall be prefaced by an explanatory statement of its contents and shall be itemized according to the respective objects and purposes for which appropriations are made. Itemization shall be in the form, classification and detail prescribed by regulations of the local government board. The itemization, form and arrangement of the budget shall be such as to facilitate the exercise of the comptroller function. The budget shall consist of a tabulated statement of: a. all anticipated revenues applicable to the expenditures for which appropriations are made in the budget, and b. the appropriations to be made for all purposes for which such revenues are to be expended. The total of anticipated revenues must equal the total of appropriations. L.1960, c. 169, s. 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1962.
