Time and place of election; conduct of election

40:76-19. Time and place of election; conduct of election The special election shall be held at the usual place or places of holding the annual election in the municipality if the same be practicable, but if not practicable the clerk shall provide a suitable voting place in each election district in the municipality. The polls shall remain open during the hours from seven o'clock in the forenoon until nine o'clock at night, and the election shall be conducted, by the election officers then holding office for the purpose of conducting elections in such municipality, in the manner prescribed by the laws relating to elections.
