40:74-9. Ordinances proposed by petition; procedure Any proposed ordinance, except a proposed ordinance fixing the salaries, wages or compensation of the employees of the municipality, may be submitted to the board of commissioners by petition of the electors, in the manner hereinafter in this article provided. Amended by L.1976, c. 96, s. 6, eff. Sept. 21, 1976.
