Salaries of officers and employees; exceptions

40:73-6. Salaries of officers and employees; exceptions The salary or compensation of all officers and employees of the municipality shall be fixed by the board of commissioners, and shall be payable monthly, or at shorter periods as it shall determine. The salary or compensation of any member of the police or fire departments shall not be fixed at a less amount than that received by said member at the time of the adoption of chapters 70 to 76 of this title (s. 40:70-1 et seq.).
