40:67-9. Municipality may do work if owner fails; recovery of cost Where any person shall fail to comply with the direction of the governing body of a municipality to make any changes or to do any work referred to in sections 40:67-7 and 40:67-8 of this title the same may be made or done by the municipality at the expense of such person and the cost thereof recovered by the municipality in any court of competent jurisdiction.
