N.J.S.A. 40:63-70 — Construction of improvements or works; sewers connecting therewith

40:63-70. Construction of improvements or works; sewers connecting therewith Any two or more municipalities may in the manner hereinafter in this article provided, jointly provide for, construct, maintain and operate an outlet or trunk sewer, or system of sewerage, a system of conveying sewage from a point or points to be agreed upon to a common destination, or to disposal works, and may also construct, maintain and operate works, plants and stations within or without the said municipalities, or any of them, for the treatment, rendering and disposal of sewage. Any such municipalities establishing such joint outlet or trunk sewer or disposal works may also construct sewers running in and along any public street, road or highway separating such municipalities, and connecting therewith in the manner hereinafter in this article provided.
