40:62-19. Procedure after adoption If a majority of the legal voters voting upon such question shall vote YES, the governing body shall proceed in accordance with the provisions hereof to acquire or construct the necessary plant or works for the furnishing of light, heat or power, or any two or all of them, for the public and private uses of such municipality and its inhabitants. When so acquired or constructed the plant or works shall be equipped, maintained and operated in accordance with the provisions of this article for the purpose or purposes aforesaid.
