Duration of sales tax ordinance

40:48-8.27. Duration of sales tax ordinance If a majority of the qualified electors voting on the proposed ordinance shall vote in favor thereof, such ordinance shall thereupon become a valid and binding ordinance of the municipality. Any such ordinance shall continue in force and effect until the same shall be repealed by the governing body or until the voters of such municipality shall authorize such repeal at a referendum election held for such purpose.
