40:48-4.6. Rules and regulations; investigations; access to property, books, records, or documents In order to carry out the purposes of this act, the municipality may make such reasonable rules and regulations as they may deem necessary which shall have the force and effect of law, and may investigate any matters relative to the passenger service contracted for under this act and in aid of such investigation the municipality shall have access to and the motor bus carrier shall make available its property, books, records, or documents.
