Referendum; submission at general election; notice

40:37-242. Referendum; submission at general election; notice The question of the adoption of sections 40:37-195 to 40:37-247 of this title shall be submitted to the voters of any county having the necessary population at the next general election. The county clerk shall, at least ten days before the election, give public notice by publication in two or more newspapers published and circulating in the county, that the submission will be made at the ensuing election. The notice shall state briefly the question to be submitted.
