40:37-196. Commissioners; appointment, number and qualifications In any county containing a population of less than two hundred thousand and more than one hundred seventy-five thousand inhabitants, which is governed by sections 40:37-195 to 40:37-247 of this title, the board of chosen freeholders shall appoint seven persons, not more than four of whom shall be of the same political party, to be known as "the county park commission" (inserting name of county).
