Legislative findings

40:23-8.23. Legislative findings The Legislature finds and declares that private, nonprofit organizations which provide certain services relating to burn treatment, rehabilitation, research and prevention contribute significant and necessary medical, rehabilitative, research and educational services to the residents of the State of New Jersey, that these services benefit the general safety, health and welfare of residents of communities of this State, and that it is in the public interest of this State that local governments of this State be permitted to contribute to such organizations as a means of assuring that these services and benefits are available to their residents.
