Care and treatment of veterans in county hospitals

40:23-6.17. Care and treatment of veterans in county hospitals Boards of chosen freeholders are authorized to enter into contracts with the United States Government, or any of its agencies through the proper Federal officials, for the care and treatment in any county hospital, including clinic or out-patient service, of any soldier, sailor, marine or nurse under the jurisdiction of the Veterans Administration of the United States Government, without regard to his legal settlement, and to receive and care for such soldiers, sailors, marines and nurses upon such terms and conditions, and upon such payments by the United States Government, as shall be mutually agreed upon between any such board of chosen freeholders and the proper officials of the United States Government.
