40:23-27. Advertisement for bids where value exceeds $1,000 Whenever it is reasonably apparent that the value of such personal property, except live stock, about to be disposed of at any one time or in the course of any one transaction is likely to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), the board of chosen freeholders shall publicly advertise for bids in the manner provided in section 40:25-8 of this Title and shall sell the property to the highest bidder. Amended by L.1947, c. 106, p. 532, s. 1, eff. May 6, 1947.
