Subpoenas; testimony

40:20-83. Subpoenas; testimony The board of chosen freeholders and any committee thereof may subpoena witnesses and take testimony with respect to any lawful matter of inquiry by such board or committee. Any such subpoena shall be enforceable, and misconduct of a witness may be dealt with, in the manner provided by the County and Municipal Investigations Law (1952). Amended by L.1953, c. 37, p. 639, s. 26, eff. March 19, 1953.
