40:20-74. Salaries of freeholders not paid on per diem basis In counties where the members of the board of chosen freeholders are not compensated upon a per diem basis, and in counties not governed by small boards of chosen freeholders under any of the provisions of sections 40:20-2 to 40:20-35 of this Title, the members of the board shall each receive a salary of not less than $1,000.00 nor more than $1,500.00 per annum and the director shall receive a salary of not less than $1,500.00 nor more than $2,500.00 per annum, to be paid by the county treasurer out of the county treasury in equal quarterly payments. The salaries to be paid to the members and director may, within the limits prescribed in this section, be fixed by the respective boards by resolution. No other compensation shall be allowed or paid to any such member or director. Amended by L.1947, c. 302, p. 1017, s. 3; L.1964, c. 108, s. 1, eff. June 8, 1964.
