Referendum

40:19-4. Referendum Upon the passage of the resolution, the clerk of the board of chosen freeholders shall forthwith transmit a certified copy thereof to the proper officer, notifying him that a vote is desired upon the question. Such officer shall, in the manner and form provided by law, place the same upon the ballots used at the next general election occurring not less than thirty days after the passage of the resolution.
