40:18-2. County vested with all property; proceedings unaffected Every county, by its corporate name, shall succeed to and become vested with all property, real and personal, now held by the county or its board of chosen freeholders under the corporate name as heretofore existing, and no suit, proceeding, instrument or liability shall abate or in anywise be affected by any change of corporate name.
