40:160-2. Villages separated from townships; autonomy of local government L.1904, c. 153, p. 287 (C.S. pp. 5757, 5758, s.s. 104 to 108), entitled "An act concerning villages which have been or shall become separated from the township in which they were or are contained and which have been or shall be given complete autonomy of local government," approved March twenty-eighth, one thousand nine hundred and four, as supplemented by L.1905, c. 147, p. 270 (C.S. p. 5759, s. 109), approved April fourteenth, one thousand nine hundred and five, saved from repeal. [This act together with its supplement sets forth the effect of the separation of a village from the township in which it was situate and prescribes the method of settling the division of property.]
