40:151-52. Powers; examine witnesses; subpoenas Such joint committee shall have power to issue subpoenas, compel the attendance of any of the officers of the fire districts affected, compel the production of all books and papers relating to the subject matter under consideration, administer oaths or affirmations to any person appearing before it to testify, and shall have the same power to enforce its process of subpoena and to compel any person to attend and testify as is given to committees appointed by the common council of any city under the provisions of sections 40:48-25 to 40:48-28 of this title.
