Municipalities may contribute to expense

40:14-11. Municipalities may contribute to expense The governing bodies of any municipalities in or through which such inlet is to be opened, constructed or improved or bordering upon such inlet, may contribute to the expense of such work a sum in the aggregate equal to one-half of the sum appropriated or to be appropriated by such county, but the sum to be so appropriated and contributed shall not exceed twenty-five hundred dollars in any one year.
