Instruction in poultry raising; poultry exhibitions

4:16-21. Instruction in poultry raising; poultry exhibitions At meetings held as provided in section 4:16-20 of this title, the department of poultry husbandry: a. Shall provide for instruction in poultry raising; b. Shall arrange for, organize, prepare and superintend exhibitions at which all recognized varieties of poultry as determined and judged by the American Standard of Perfection may be shown; c. May charge an admission sufficient to pay the expense of the exhibitions, and any surplus remaining therefrom shall be maintained in a fund and devoted to future exhibitions under the supervision of the department. The department may award premiums to the exhibitors of poultry, shall formulate all rules and regulations governing such exhibitions and the award of such premiums, and shall arrange for the time and place of holding the exhibitions, which, if practicable, shall be held in each of the counties of the state.
