Examination of records to determine cost of distributing milk

4:12A-54. Examination of records to determine cost of distributing milk The Department of Agriculture is authorized to examine and study the records and accounts of distributors of milk in New Jersey, covering such periods as shall be determined by the department, for the purpose of ascertaining the costs of distribution of milk and milk products, including all methods of purchases and sales and all costs of handling milk from the farm to the consumer. The information thus obtained shall be submitted to the Director of Milk Control for his information in determining a proper spread to cover dealer costs and in fixing consumer prices.
