Establishment; appointment of State Chemist; employees

4:1-42. Establishment; appointment of State Chemist; employees There is hereby established in the Department of Agriculture the office of State Chemist. The State Chemist shall be appointed by the State Board of Agriculture in conjunction with the Secretary of Agriculture in the same manner as other officers of the department are appointed and shall be subject to the supervision of the secretary. The secretary shall assign to the office of State Chemist such employees in the Department of Agriculture as may be necessary to assist the State Chemist in the performance of his duties.
