3B:12B-8 Taking testimony in another state; documentary evidence. 8. Taking testimony in another state; documentary evidence. a. A court of this State may permit a witness located in another state to be deposed or to testify by any means permitted by the Rules Governing the Courts of the State of New Jersey. A court of this State shall cooperate with the court of another state in designating an appropriate location for the deposition or testimony. b. Documentary evidence transmitted from another state to a court of this State may be admitted into evidence consistent with the New Jersey Rules of Evidence. L.2012, c.36, s.8.
