39:5-30.5. Penalty points; rules and regulations; authority to adopt The Director of the Division of Motor Vehicles shall have the authority, pursuant to the "Administrative Procedure Act," P.L.1968, c. 410 (C. 52:14B-1 et seq.), to continue to adopt rules and regulations to determine the motor vehicle offenses for which penalty points may be assessed under this act, and the amount of points to be assessed for each offense and to adopt rules and regulations to determine the motorized bicycle offenses for which penalty points may be assessed and the number of points to be assessed for each offense.
