39:4-191.7. Word markings limited The use of words painted on the pavement shall be limited to very brief warning messages expressed in the shortest possible words. Regulatory messages may be used, but only in support of standard signs. All letters should be greatly elongated in the direction of traffic movement. L.1951, c. 23, p. 116, s. 106.
