39:3-29.7a Waiver of fee for duplicate identification card, digitized picture fee for organ, tissue donors. 2. a. Notwithstanding any law, rule, or regulation to the contrary, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission shall not impose a fee for a duplicate identification card or the digitized picture fee if the duplicate identification card is requested solely for the purpose of designating that the person shall donate all or any organs or tissues for the purposes of transplantation or therapy pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1978, c.181 (C.39:3-12.2). b. In order to receive a replacement identification card, pursuant to subsection a. of this section, a person shall first surrender the person's current identification card to the commission.
