38A:23-7 Designated treatment unit for veterans, State hospitals. 38A:23-7. The commissioner may from time to time request that the commissioner of the department overseeing psychiatric hospitals designate any State hospital for the care of the mentally ill, or a part thereof, as a treatment unit for veterans who require such care and who are eligible for admission to a veterans' facility. Upon making such designation, the commissioner of the appropriate department shall cause to be filed with the Commissioner of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Secretary of State a certificate setting forth the fact thereof, a description of the precise treatment unit so designated, and its location.
