Liability for lost or destroyed property

38A:11-4. Liability for lost or destroyed property In case of the loss, damage or destruction of such property, the person to whom the same has been issued shall not be relieved from liability unless it is shown to the satisfaction of the Governor, or of the Secretary of the Federal Service involved, or the authorized agent of either that the said loss, damage or destruction was unavoidable and not the fault of the person responsible for the property.
