36:2-130 "Freedom Walk Day," Sunday before September 11; designated. 1. The Sunday before September 11th of each year is designated as "Freedom Walk Day" in the State of New Jersey in support of the service men and women and veterans of the United States Armed Forces, the Reserve components thereof, and the National Guard, and the emergency responders of this Nation, and in memory of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
