34:6A-10. Submission of plans and specifications The commissioner shall have the power and authority to require by rules and regulations promulgated hereunder that the owner of any building or structure to be erected or adapted as a place of employment submit to the commissioner such plans and specifications for his approval and other data relative thereto before the building or structure is erected or adapted. He shall further have the power and authority to require by rules and regulations promulgated hereunder that prior to the installation of sanitation facilities, fire prevention and protection, egresses, exhaust and ventilating systems, elevators and other conveying equipment and employee protective devices and equipment the owner or employer submit plans and specifications for his approval and other data relative thereto.
