34:6-147. Special Task Force on the Apparel Industry reestablished as apparel industry unit 4. The commissioner shall establish, within 120 days of the effective date of this act, a Special Task Force on the Apparel Industry to enforce State labor laws affecting the employment of production employees in the apparel industry and to exercise the special duties and powers set forth in sections 5 and 6 of this act. The special task force shall include personnel from the department who shall be charged with ensuring compliance with the State's wage and hour, unemployment compensation, temporary disability, workers' compensation, and industrial homework laws. Upon the effective date of this 1991 amendatory and supplementary act, the special task force shall be reestablished as the apparel industry unit. L.1987,c.458,s.4; amended 1991,c.189,s.6.
