34:2-21.60. Refusal to grant permit or certificate; grounds; record The issuing officer or the Commissioner of Labor, pursuant to section 3b. of P.L.1962, c. 91 (C. 34:2-21.59), may refuse to grant a permit or certificate if, in his judgment, the best interests of the minor would be served by such refusal and he shall keep a record of such refusals, and the reasons therefor. A refusal by the issuing officer shall not preclude a contrary decision by the commissioner. L.1962, c. 91, s. 4. Amended by L.1981, c. 147, s. 3, eff. May 14, 1981; L.1981, c. 331, s. 6, eff.
