Director; employees and special assistants

34:16-28. Director; employees and special assistants The commission shall appoint a director, who shall be its executive officer and have primary responsibility for, and shall devote his full time to the administration of the program, and who shall employ such staff and special assistants as may be necessary to carry out the purposes and objects of this chapter. The chairman of the commission shall be the individual with whom the director shall consult when the commission is not in session. Notwithstanding the provisions of this act or any other law to the contrary, the director and all employees and special assistants shall be appointed pursuant to the provisions of Title 11, Civil Service, and shall continue to be subject thereto.
