33:1-17.1. Requirement of alcoholic beverage retail licensee clearance certificate 2. An alcoholic beverage retail license or license that confers the right to sell alcoholic beverages to consumers shall not be issued, renewed or transferred unless the licensee, if subject to review in the prior calendar year pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1995, c.161 (C.54:50-28), or prospective licensee, if subject to review pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1995, c.161 (C.54:50-28), shall have been issued an alcoholic beverage retail licensee clearance certificate for the review period pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1995, c.161 (C.54:50-28).
