32:1-108. Similar advance by New York state No part of the said appropriation made by the preceding section shall be payable unless and until the state of New York shall undertake to make available to the port authority an equal sum payable contemporaneously therewith, or earlier, the intent hereof being that each state shall cause to be paid over, or made available to the port authority in not more than five equal annual installments, one-half of a total fund of four million dollars ($4,000,000), to be available to the port authority as an advance for the construction of the said bridge, and that the appropriation of the state of New Jersey is conditioned upon the undertaking of the state of New York to provide its half of the said fund within such five-year period.
