30:4C-31. Federal assistance; compliance with requirements of Department of Health, Education and Welfare The State Board of Control or its duly authorized representative is hereby empowered to negotiate with the Federal Government to secure such financial assistance for the carrying out of this act as may be provided in the Federal Social Security Act, and the State Treasurer is hereby empowered to receive such moneys and shall cause them to be placed in the account or accounts of the Bureau of Childrens Services, acting as the agent of the State Board of Control for the purpose of carrying into effect the provisions of this act. The State Board of Control is further empowered to organize the work of the Department of Institutions and Agencies in behalf of children to comply, in any manner consistent with law, with the reasonable requirements of the Federal Department of Health, Education and Welfare pursuant to Federal law, and to cooperate in extending and strengthening public welfare services for the protection and care of homeless, dependent and neglected children and children in danger of becoming delinquent.
