30:4C-27.8 Criminal history record background check required for licensure. 6. a. The department shall ensure that a State and federal criminal history record background check is conducted on a resource family parent applicant and any adult member of the resource family parent applicant's household pursuant to the provisions of section 1 of P.L.1985, c.396 (C.30:4C-26.8). b. The Division of State Police in the Department of Law and Public Safety shall promptly notify the department in the event a resource family parent or any adult member of the resource family parent's household, who was the subject of a criminal history record background check conducted pursuant to this section, is convicted of a crime or offense in this State after the date the background check was performed. Upon receipt of such notification, the department shall make a determination whether to suspend or revoke the resource family parent's license. L.2001,c.419,s.6; amended 2004, c.130, s.75.
