30:4-177.14. Persons admitted and treated 3. The institute shall admit, retain and provide care and treatment for individuals suffering from diseases and dysfunctions of the brain and nervous system, including acute substance use disorder, cerebral palsy cases and minors with a mental illness, and who require hospital care, and without which their health and welfare and that of others in the community will be jeopardized, subject to availability of facilities for hospitalization and treatment thereof.
