30:1B-10.1. Provision of mental health services to certain incarcerated persons 2. The Commissioner of Corrections shall provide or arrange for appropriate mental health services to State-sentenced incarcerated persons who suffer from mental illness, as defined in section 2 of P.L.1987, c.116 (C.30:4-27.2), but are not in need of inpatient treatment at a State psychiatric facility. The commissioner may, in accordance with the "Administrative Procedure Act," P.L.1968, c.410 (C.52:14B-1 et seq.), promulgate rules and regulations governing the provision of mental health services to inmates.
