Neglect or refusal to obey writ; forfeiture; misdemeanor

2A:67-34. Neglect or refusal to obey writ; forfeiture; misdemeanor If any officer or other person shall neglect or refuse to make the required returns or to produce the prisoner according to the command of the writ, every such officer and person so neglecting shall forfeit and pay to the party aggrieved the sum of $500 and shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
