2A:27-1. Application for prosecution; jurisdiction; applicant liable for costs The governor may upon application in writing by any person aggrieved or supposing himself to be aggrieved by the neglect, default, misconduct or malpractice in office of any public official under bond to the state, order an action upon such bond to be commenced and prosecuted in the superior court, in the name of the state of New Jersey, and at the cost of the applicant.
