27:7-39. Sidewalks and curbs along highways; contracts with counties and municipalities The commissioner may construct paths or sidewalks and curbing along state highways and other roads and highways under his jurisdiction from any moneys available to the commissioner, and in connection therewith may contract with counties and municipalities to share the cost of such construction and thereafter of the maintenance and reconstruction thereof.
