27:23-23.8. Route 92 Freeway extension 1. The New Jersey Turnpike authority is authorized to acquire, construct, maintain, repair and operate a project addition and extension to the New Jersey Turnpike consisting of a high speed limited-access superhighway beginning at or near Interchange 8A of the New Jersey Turnpike and thence in a general westerly direction through Middlesex County to an interchange with U.S. Route 1 in the general vicinity of the intersection of U.S. Route 1 and Ridge Road (County Road 522) or U.S. Route 27 as the authority, after study, deems appropriate.
