27:1A-78 Office of Maritime Resources. 4. There is hereby established in the Department of Transportation the Office of Maritime Resources. The office shall serve as the lead on all maritime industry matters including, but not limited to, dredging, dredging technologies and dredging related issues, State and federal marine transportation systems, and port development. The office shall be the primary advisor to the Governor and the commissioner on all matters relating to the mission of the office. The office shall also serve as the point of contact for the maritime industry and shall coordinate maritime planning and policy issues with federal, State and local governments and regional and bi-state agencies, as appropriate.
